Tony Jeffries

Professional English boxer who won the bronze medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He retired in 2012 due to hand injuries after more than 106 professional matches. He competed as a light-heavyweight. 

Before Fame

He started to box at the age of ten, learning from his uncle and former professional boxer William Young "Billy" Bryce. He won the School Boys' Championships, and attained gold status in the European Cadets. He was a winner in the juniors division of the 2003 YMCA International Cup, and a semifinalist in the Junior Brandenburg Cup.

Trivia

He fought for national titles in England 56 times. He successfully won nine National titles.

Family Life

He married his longtime girlfriend, Sarah Kneeshaw, who was employed as an emergency room nurse. The couple is raising three daughters together. They moved to Santa Monica, California in 2012. He has two sisters named Lucy and Sarah.
