CEO of oatmilk producer Oatly. He is credited with turning the brand into a global phenomenon when he took the company public in 2021. The company now has branches in over 20 countries. Some of his promotional activities include creating slogans and appearing in TV commercials. 

Before Fame

He attended Alströmergymnasiet high school in Sweden. He received a diploma in Marketing Strategy in 1993 from IHM Business School. He and his brother collaborated to build the Izakaya Koi, a restaurant and lifestyle concept business in Malmo. They also started a nightclub, a café, and Koi Living, a clothing and interiors company. They established more than 10 companies before taking a 5 year break. 

Trivia

In October of 2017 Oatly's Instagram made a post about him, calling him the "original Swedish oat punk" with the mission to give Swedish children the right to choose between dairy and plant-based milk. 

Family Life

He was born into a Japanese family. He and his brother were an entrepreneurial team together before his role as CEO at Oatly. He is married with one son and one daughter.

JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse were the underwriters when Oatly set its terms for initial public offering in 2021.
