British film and sound editor who is best known for his work in film projects such as Deliverance, 1984, and Repulsion. He was president of the J. B. Priestley Society and The Priestley Centre for the Arts in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

He graduated from Bryanston School. He also attended King's College, Cambridge.
Trivia
He worked as assistant editor on the now classic films Whistle Down the Wind and This Sporting Life. He won a BAFTA in the year 1967 for his work on Morgan - A Suitable Case for Treatment.
