He trained as a student assistant stage manager at Leatherhead Theatre in 1966.
Trivia
He was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. He made his television acting debut on Freewheelers in 1968. He starred in the 2018 feature film The Guernsey Literary, and Potato Peel Pie Society. As an actor, he has made over two dozen appearances in different films and TV series'. His role as Tom saw him appear in over 90 episodes of the show Last of the Summer Wine.
Family Life
He was married to Mary Moylan until his death. He was the son of fellow actor Bill Owen.
