Before Fame
Between 1994 and 1998, he worked as a speechwriter for Secretaries of State Warren Christopher and Madeleine Albright, while also holding a position in the Policy Planning Staff at the Department of State. Subsequently, from 1998 to 2001, he assumed the role of senior director on the National Security Council at the White House.

He was born in Słupsk, Poland, and resided in Brwinów until he and his parents departed the country at the age of six. He spent his formative years in Princeton, New Jersey. He has one daughter.
