Tom Lonergan

About

Coach and former professional Australian rules footballer who rose to fame as a player for the Geelong football club. He sustained a serious injury to his kidney in the year 2006 and made his return to Geelong the following year. After retiring from football, he launched a career in talent and development coaching.

Before Fame

He made his senior debut for the Yarrawonga Football Club at the young age of 15.

Trivia

In collaboration with Zaidee's Rainbow Foundation, he has helped raise awareness about organ donation. He eventually turned down an offer to join the Western Bulldogs. He is quite large, standing at 6'6" tall and weighing over 200 pounds.

Family Life

He has one sister and two brothers. His parents are Trish and Bernie Lonergan.
