English actor known for playing Sanderson Reed in the film The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen opposite Sean Connery. Other notable roles include The Imitation Game and Everest. He played Joe Hawkins in the show Humans. He has also been in a number of BBC Radio 4 productions, such as playing Jesus in Witness: Five Plays from the Gospel of Luke and Anton in the Milton Jones series.
Before Fame
He originally studied to be a teacher, before turning to acting and appearing in amateur performances at the People's Theatre. He attended the University of Warwick where he obtained BA in Drama and English with a teaching qualification. He worked for a year in Coventry as a supply teacher before moving to London to pursue acting full-time.

He has appeared in episodes from popular British crime shows such as Jonathan Creek and Murder in Mind. He played Reverend Golightly in the Doctor Who episode "The Unicorn and the Wasp." He narrated all seasons of Ultimate Airport Dubai and played roles in Call the Midwife and Foyle's War. In 2020 he played Frank Crawley in the romantic thriller Rebecca.
Family Life
He has two children from his marriage in 2005 to Kerry Bradley, which ended in 2013. He married actress Jessica Raine, whom he met in 2010 during a theater production, in 2015. The couple had a son in 2019.
