Tom De Koning

About

Professional ruckman that was originally signed by the Carlton Football Club as a teenager in the year 2018. He was initially drafted by Carlton FC with the 30th overall pick in the 2017 AFL national draft. In addition to playing ruck, he also plays the position of full-forward.

Before Fame

Prior to his professional career, he played junior football for the Mt. Martha youth club. He later began playing while at Padua College.

Trivia

He officially made his professional football debut while playing against the Western Bulldogs during round 22 of the 2021 AFL season. While on the pitch, he is often referred to by the nicknames "TDK", "The King," and "Bongy." He is a very large man, standing at 6'8" tall and weighing over 220 pounds.

Family Life

Growing up, he lived with his parents and his nine siblings. His father Terry also played football professionally.
