About
British Paralympic rower and athlete who is known for competing in the arms-only single sculls (ASM1x) category in adaptive rowing and for winning the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games, which made him the first-ever Paralympic champion in this event.
Before Fame
He originally played rugby and wanted to pursue playing rugby professionally. His life changed when he sustained a spinal cord injury in an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down in 2005. He started rowing as part of his physical therapy. He joined the Great Britain adaptive rowing team in 2006. He won his first World Championship title in 2007.
Trivia
He competed at the Rio Paralympic Games in 2016. He is associated with the Marlow Rowing Club. He has the record for being the longest-serving member of the British para-rowing squad as of 2024. He also won the world championships in 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011.

He was born and raised in London, England. He has three children with Vicki Aggar.
