Self-taught artist and penciller who has worked on a wide variety of projects including comic books, movie posters, trading cards, book covers, and more. He rose to fame after working on comic books such as the Clive Barker publication Age of Desire and Marvel's Blade. He worked with director Guillermo del Toro on visual design for the film Blade II. He has also illustrated posters for The Punisher and The Expanse, and created album art for the album, "A Matter of Life and Death" by heavy metal band Iron Maiden.
Before Fame
He joined the comic book industry in the year 1990, initially working on Dragon Chiang with creator Tim Truman before going on to earn substantial acclaim for his work on the White Wolf Publishing release Vampire: The Masquerade.
Trivia
He earned the 1996 International Horror Guild Award for Best Artist. His work on Hellblazer earned him a 2002 nomination for Best Cover Artist from the Eisner Awards and a 2005 nomination for an IHG Award. He later won the prestigious Inkpot Award in the year 2012.
