Thomas Milton Rivers

About

Scientist primarily known for his discoveries while working for the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research. During World War II, he rose up the ranks to Admiral, working in medical research while he was stationed in the South Pacific. 

Before Fame

After graduating from Emory College in 1909, he then headed to Johns Hopkins Medical School in Baltimore, Maryland. 

Trivia

In 1934, he was elected to the National Academy of Sciences. 

Family Life

While in Baltimore, he met his wife, Teresa Jacobina Riefle. They lived together in Baltimore before moving to Forest Hills, New York.
