Theerathon Bunmathan

About

Thai professional soccer player and athlete who is best known for playing left back for Buriram United and Thailand national team. He was also the first Thai player to win the J1 League with Yokohama F. Marinos in 2019.

He attended Assumption College Thonburi.

Trivia

He has also played for teams such as Muangthong United, Vissel Kobe, and Yokohama F. Marinos. He stands 5'7" tall. In December of 2021, after four years in Japan, Theerathon returned home to re-joined his former club Buriram United. He was also named in the 26-man squad for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar.

Family Life

He is the son of Sommai and Piengjai Bunmathan. He and his wife Chatkamon Muayman have two sons.

In the year 2020, he and Takumi Minamino, Son Heung-min, and Sardar Azmoun were selected by International Federation of Football History & Statistics to be the first XI in AFC men team.
