AdAge called him "One of the world's most influential people in the communication business." He worked with brands such as Singapore Airlines, American Express, Cadbury's, Coca-Cola and McDonald's. In 2018, Ogilvy & Mather terminated him as global creative leader over alleged misconduct.

He studied design and art history at Central St. Martins in London. He received a Master of Arts in film at the Royal College of Art London.

He entered advertising at Leo Burnett London. He joined Ogilvy & Mather in 2000 as Regional Creative Director, Asia Pacific. He married an art dealer named Bee Tham. He has two sons. As a child, his father allowed him to write, draw and paint on the white walls at his home.
