About
Indian novelist known simply as Thakazhi who was part of the realism literary movement during the 20th century. He was known for writing Malayalam literature, and his first story was published in 1929. He continued to release more than 30 novels and seven short stories for which he won more than eight notable Indian literary awards.
Before Fame
He was first tutored by his father and a local teacher. He attended high school under the leadership of Kainikkara Kumara Pillai, another Indian writer. After graduating college, he worked as both a reporter and lawyer.
Trivia
The Thakazhi Memorial Museum was created in 2001 to honor him.
Family Life
He married Thekkemuri Chembakasseril Chirakkal Kamalakshy Ammai in 1934, and they had a son and four daughters together.
