Emmy-award winning actor, model, director, screenwriter and author who notably played the role of Eli Russel on the Chuck Lorre-produced TV series B Positive. Prior to that, his performance as Kwasi in Giants earned him the 2019 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Actor in a Digital Daytime Drama Series. He also plays the role of LeBron James in Jamie Foxx's directorial debut movie All-Star Weekend.

Before Fame

He earned his bachelor's degree from Mississippi Valley State University and a master's degree from Jackson State University. He began his acting career with appearances on series such as Criminal Minds and The Mindy Project. He also notably portrayed the "Motaur" in advertisements for Progressive Insurance.

Trivia

He has authored several children's books, including "Blacky" and "The Crowned Kids." He is also founder of the non-profit organization I Crowned Me, through which he has raised funds for the animated short Skin Deep, which is based on some of his own experiences with colorism and mental health.

Family Life

At the age of 15, he moved to the city of Cleveland, MS to take care of his sick grandmother. He wrote his 2nd book, "The Shes" in memory of his mother.
