Before Fame
She began playing softball at a young age and in high school. She graduated from Santiago High School in Corona, California in 2004. She began her freshman year at the University of Arizona in 2005 by playing a perfect but limited season. By her sophomore year, she led her team to victorious seasons in 2006 and 2007.

She was the 2007 Women's College World Series Most Valuable Player. Following her retirement, she began coaching softball for the University of Arizona before transferring to coach for the University of Mississippi.
