Internationally revered pop singer whose career, spanning over several decades, has produced hit albums including the 1995 Persian music industry bestseller, "Bibi Eshgh." She is also known for albums such as, "Doroogh Nagoo" and, "Vas Vaseh," the latter of which included the hit single, "Mardi Goftan Zani Goftan." In 1996, she also collaborated with Iranian singer Siavash Shams to create the highly successful album, "Didar," which included two #1 hit tracks. 

Before Fame

Her love for music, singing, and performing began at the age of three when she obtained a microphone and stole the show at a private event. Due to the Iranian Revolution, she relocated with her parents and brother to the United States when she was ten years old. She completed her education in Anaheim Hills, CA and pursued a career as a lab technician. However, her passion for singing refused to be silenced, and she eventually decided to follow her calling. She was later discovered by Iranian icon Hassan Shamaizadeh, who helped her become one of the biggest female singers in the Persian music industry.

Trivia

In 1995, she left her fans in awe by producing one of the Persian music industry's most expensive music videos of all time. She purportedly spent a total of $250,000 on the making of the music video for her song, "Aria" from the album, "Bibi Eshgh." 

Family Life

She is the daughter of Manouchehr and Fereshteh Roshan. She has a brother named Payman.

Associated With

The controversially sensuous, but widely beloved 2009 music video for her song, "Haghighat" was directed by television presenter and producer Alireza Amirghassemi.
