Actress, entertainer, performer, and artist who was best known for playing the role of Chrissie Watkins in the history-making film Jaws, which was directed by Steven Spielberg. She became famous as she opened the movie with a very memorable death scene that involved her being thrashed about by the shark and then being eventually dragged underwater.

She started acting in the year 1973 shortly before her big break in Jaws.

Among her other acting credits are Spielberg's movie "1941", the hit TV series "Quark", and William Girdler's "Day of the Animals." 

Family Life

She was born in Miami, Florida. She married Harvey Swindall in the year 1995, but she has also been romantically linked to movie stuntman Monty Cox.

Her Jaws co-star, actor Richard Dreyfuss, has stated that her attack in the movie left him "absolutely terrified" due in large part to her performance.
