Summer Watson

About

English operatic soprano who has performed at various public and private events in Europe, Asia and the US, often working with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a regular performer for the Royal Households of the United Kingdom, and has performed at Buckingham Palace for the 60th anniversary of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She has recorded songs for DreamWorks films and worked on an album with Burt Bacharach. Her style has been described as a "seamless fusion between classical and ethnic music."

Before Fame

She was a singer and instrumentalist from a young age, taking part in vocal competitions. At age 10 she was an exchange student in Martinique for two months, where she became fluent in French. She won a place at Royal College of Music to train as an opera singer, completing her postgraduate diploma in 2002 and graduating with distinction. 

Trivia

She has been involved in many charities and performed at various benefit concerts, such as one to rebuild Sri Lanka after the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami. Inspired by Bear Grylls, she climbed Mont Blanc and reached the final summit in 3 hours and 15 minutes. She is a breast cancer survivor. Her summermusic Twitter account has 7,000 followers. In January of 2021, she posted about her single, "Unveiled", which quickly gained more than 78,000 views on YouTube. 

Family Life

She is an only child. She has a golden retriever named Marleigh.
