English disc jockey, radio personality, musician, entertainer, artist, performer, and occasional television presenter who was best known for his show Steve Wright in the Afternoon on BBC Radio 1, and for his work of 23 years on BBC Radio 2. He presented his Sunday Love Songs on Radio 2 until his death in October of 2023.
Before Fame
He graduated from Eastwood High School for Boys. In the 1970s, he joined the BBC staff working as a returns clerk in the Gramophone Library in Egton House.

He also hosted the television shows Wright hosted Home Truths, The Steve Wright People Show, Auntie's TV Favourites, Top of the Pops and TOTP2. In the year 1998, he was awarded TRIC Personality of the Year for his radio programs. .

His father's name was Richard. He also had a brother named Laurence. He was married to Cyndi Robinson from the year 1985 to the year 1999. He has two children.
