Before Fame
He got his first electric guitar at the age of seven and formed his first band at the age of nine. In 1979, he formed his first club band called Omega. In 2001, he began playing with Huey Lewis and the News.
Trivia
While still in high school, he formed the band called Legend which featured Dave Matthews on keyboard.
Family Life
He was born in Oakland, California but grew up in Walnut Creek. He began by playing his dad's guitar.
