About
Seasoned actor and accomplished television producer most universally remembered for his time serving as executive producer of the long-running drama romance series Neighbours - a role he held for nearly a decade, and over the course of more than 1,200 episodes. He also produced television series such as Butterfly Island and The Flying Doctors. One of his most notable acting credits included his starring role as Clive Archer on the award-winning drama series The Restless Years.
Before Fame
He earned his first on-screen acting role in 1961, guest-starring as Jim Sangster on an episode of the crime drama television series No Hiding Place. The following year, he earned his first recurring roles - as PC Fenwick on The River Flows East and as a Constable on Coronation Street.
Trivia
Outside of producing and acting, he is also credited with writing a single 1979 episode of the multi award-winning crime drama series Prisoner: Cell Block H. The show is considered to be a long-running cult phenomenon, with nearly 700 episodes in total, and featured a plot centered around the population of a high-security female prison.
Family Life
He was married to his wife, Sherri, until his passing in September of 2008. Together, they had one child - a daughter named Stephanie Walsh who was also a producer and actress.
