University of Oregon football player who died in July of 2022 from a head injury after slipping on rocks at Triangle Lake, Oregon. Webb played tight end for the Oregon Ducks and had 160,000 followers on Instagram and 700,000 fans on TikTok. He died at the young age of 22, after suffering a head injury while cliff-diving.
Before Fame
Webb grew up in Dixon, California. He was raised by his aunt, uncle, and grandparents. His older brother Cody eventually became his legal guardian. Football served as a distraction from home life. He also swam and played basketball competitively. Coming out of Christian Brothers High School, Webb was a consensus four-star, top-10 tight end, and top 300 prospect as rated by ESPN, Rivals, and 247Sports. He'd also been recruited by California, Texas A&M, Florida State, and UCLA.
Trivia
He was the only tight end signed to Oregon in 2018. His teammates nicknamed him "Spider."
Family Life
Webb's older brother gained legal guardianship of Spencer when Spencer was 13 and Cody 29. The two rarely saw or heard from their mother or father. Cody and his girlfriend then wife raised Spencer as if he was their only son.
