Teen figure skater and TikTok star, who died on January 29, 2005 on the American Airlines plane crash in Washington, D.C. Impressively, he had only learned to skate three years before being named to the U.S. Figure Skating's National Development Team. Before Fame
In late 2021, he became captivated by figure skating in the lead-up to the 2022 Winter Olympics and in January of 2022, he enrolled in a Providence-based chapter of U.S. Figure Skating's entry-level Learn to Skate USA program. He advanced rapidly to private lessons in Warwick, R.I., and ultimately to full-time training at the Skating Club of Boston in Norwood, Mass.
Trivia
Based on his performance in U.S. Figure Skating's National Qualifying Series and his gold medal at 2025 Eastern Sectionals, he was named to U.S. Figure Skating's National Development Team and invited to train at a high-performance development camp in Wichita, Kansas. He spent his final week doing what he loved, surrounded by close friends and coaches from his beloved U.S. Figure Skating and Skating Club of Boston communities.
Family Life
He was born in Seoul, South Korea and spent the first nine months of his life under the care of a foster family before being adopted by his parents In April of 2009. His mother, Christine Conrad Lane, also passed away on the same flight. His father is Doug Lane and his brother is Milo.
