During his collegiate career, he played linebacker at the University of San Diego. After one season, he then transferred to Azusa Pacific University.

In December of 2023, he became the 12th head coach in Boise State's program history. That very same season, he helped his team win the 2023-24 Mountain West Championship. He also coached football at Azusa Pacific University.
