Before Fame
She joined a theater troop which sparked her interest in theater and acting. She debuted her stand-up comedy show "On Record" at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016. She became well known because of her performance and it resulted in a 2017 national tour which kickstarted both her comedy and acting career.
Trivia
She founded the non-profit organization Stories Of Care in 2015, which focuses on supporting writers from diverse and underprivileged backgrounds. She won the Magners New Comedian of the Year Award in 2015. She received an honorary doctorate from the University of Bolton in 2022 for her work in acting and comedy.
