Before Fame

She met her Sofi Tukker partner Tucker Halpern while attending Brown University, where she studied Portuguese and development studies. She played bossa nova in a jazz trio.

Trivia

One of the moments she and Tucker knew they wanted to make music together was after seeing a Grimes show.
