Known for her work in such films as Story of Three Loves, Schoolgirls, Kapag Napagod Ang Puso, and Koronang Itim, she played leading roles in more than eighty movies during the first three decades of her acting career.

Before Fame

At the age of four, she rose to fame through her roles in the films Wanted: Perfect Mother and My Little Angel.

Trivia

During her younger years, she appeared in numerous Regal Films productions alongside fellow teen stars Albert Martinez and Gabby Concepcion.

Family Life

Her first marriage, to model and actor Ricardo Cepeda, lasted for over a decade and resulted in two children: Sachi and Sam. She then married rock singer Nino Mendoza but the couple later separated.

During her childhood years, she received acting training from the renowned Filipino director Lino Brocka.
