Before Fame
He published his first cartoon in HELP! magazine in 1961, one of Harvey Kurtzman's publications, the editor of which was Gloria Steinem. He gained national recognition for this cartoon after it was heralded on "The Tonight Show" by comedian Dick Gregory.
