Famous for co-founding a Southern California surf shop known as Jeff Ho Surfboards and Zephyr Productions, he is also notable for establishing the Z-Boys competitive skateboarding team.

He and Jeff Ho opened their famous surf shop in 1973 in Santa Monica, California.
