Indian film and television actress who is best known for her versatile roles appearing in a range of Tamil and Telugu films as well as a few Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada films. She is most recognized for playing Priya in the 1997 film V.I.P. and Rukmani in the 1999 film Thulladha Manamum Thullum. 

Before Fame

After working as an anchor on Superhit Muqabla, she was offered a role in the Bollywood film Sanam Harjai where she made her acting debut in 1995. She then went on to make her debut in South Indian cinema with the Malayalam film Indraprastham in 1996. 

Trivia

She has won multiple awards and honors for her acting including Best Tamil Actress in a Leading Role at the Cinema Express awards in 1999 and Best Female Debut at the 1997 Filmfare South Awards. 

Family Life

She was born and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She married Deepak Bagga in 2003.
