Israeli conman convicted for theft, forgery and fraud. His story was featured in the 2022 Netflix documentary The Tinder Swindler. He was exposed as a romance scammer by the Norwegian tabloid Verdens Gang. 

Before Fame

He changed his name to pretend he was related to Lev Avnerovich Leviev, an Israeli businessman known as "The King of Diamonds."

Trivia

According to The Times of Israel, he allegedly swindled an estimated $10 million from victims across Europe.

Family Life

He was born Shimon Yehuda Hayut in Ramat Elchanan, Bnei Brak, Israel.

Associated With

His story has similarities to that told in the true crime television series Dirty John, starring Eric Bana, Julia Garner and Connie Britton.
