She released her debut single "Drinking Games" in 2018. She studied at Columbia College, and wrote and recorded her single while at school.

She released her song "Crowd" in July 2020. She made her 10th music video for her single "Football Game" in 2020.

Her birth name is Sophie Cates. She announced her relationship with fellow pop singer Lauv on Dec. 31, 2020.
