Indian film actor and director best known for his Filmfare Award-nominated performance in the 2011 Tamil movie Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, Silambarasan are also notable for his starring roles in Kadhal Azhivathillai, Saravana, and Vallavan. He has amassed over 40 acting credits throughout his ongoing career.

During his childhood years, he appeared with his father in films such as En Thangai Kalyani and Thai Thangai Paasam.

Trivia

A Tamil cinema playback singer as well as an actor, he contributed to the scores of Sonnal Thaan Kaadhala and numerous other films. He has been credited in the music department for over 20 films. 

Family Life

Born Silambarasan Thesingu Rajendar, he is the son of actor and director T. Rajendar and actress and producer Usha Rajendar. He grew up with a brother named Kuralarasan and a sister named Ilakiya.

He dubbed actor Dev Patel in the Tamil version of the popular 2009 movie Slumdog Millionaire.
