American politician who became the second lieutenant governor of New Jersey from 2018 until her passing in 2023. She made history as the first Black woman to hold the position. Prior to becoming lieutenant governor, she served as a member of the New Jersey General Assembly from 2004 to 2018, representing the 34th Legislative District.
