Famous as a morning news anchor for Los Angeles' KTLA-5 and CBS2 channels, she is also notable for hosting entertainment-themed MSNBC segments titled MSNBC Entertainment Hot List and MSNBC at the Movies. Over the course of her career, she received several Associated Press Awards and Emmy Awards.

Before Fame

After earning a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from Boston University, she launched a weekend news program for a Massachusetts cable channel and subsequently became an investigative reporter for a Salinas, California station.
