Before Fame
After graduating from Central Polytechnic College with a diploma in mechanical engineering, he briefly worked at a typewriting company before making his start in the film industry. He also briefly pursued a career as an actor, appearing in films such as Vesham and Poovum Puyalum, before making his directional debut with the 1993 film Gentleman.
