Pakistani public figure, writer, television personality, and veteran politician, he was elected into government over seven times. He has served as Minister for Labour and Manpower, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Minister for Industries, Minister for Sports and Culture, Minister for Tourism, and Minister for Railways.

Before Fame

He attended a Christian high school and then at Government Polytechnic Institute, before studying law at Gordon College and Punjab University, where he graduated with his degree in 1973. He worked in business commodity ventures and the silk industries, while being politically active. After that he attended Punjab University for his Master's degree in political science. He was voted into national assemblies starting in 1985.

Trivia

His is a member of the Awami Muslim League and is also closely affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League.

Family Life

He is of Kashmiri origin and was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He is of Muslim faith.
