Professional first baseman and corner outfielder that was drafted by the Houston Astros during the first round of the 2018 Major League Draft. He was later acquired by the Arizona Diamondbacks via trade in July 2019. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at Clemson University.

He initially began his professional career playing for the Tri-City ValleyCats. A few weeks later, he was sent to the Quad Cities River Bandits.
Trivia
As a child growing up, he had a huge passion for swimming competitively. In fact, he set national records for the 50-meter backstroke and 100-meter backstroke at the age of 12. In college, he earned the Dick Howser Trophy, given out to college baseball's player of the year. His first home run in college was a grand slam.
