Highly lauded former actor whose career as a young performer included dozens of credits on the stage and screen, including leading roles in TV movies such as That Certain Summer and Bad Ronald, as well as the titular role of the 1973 drama film Baxter! He also notably portrayed the role of Hubcap on One Life to Live with Laurence Fishburne and Michael, the son of Bea Arthur's character, on The Golden Girls.
Before Fame
He relocated from the Chicago area to New York with his family at the age of 10. He started his performing career with stage roles in Broadway musicals such as Ally in Golden Rainbow, which he portrayed opposite co-stars Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme. By the time he made his way to television and film, he had already been highly acclaimed by critics and periodicals, one of which notoriously compared him to the iconic Mickey Rooney.

At the young age of 11, and just one year after beginning his acting career altogether, he had already earned a Best Featured Actor in a Musical Tony Award nomination for his performance in Golden Rainbow on Broadway. He went on to win a Primetime Emmy Award when he was just 16 years old, for his performance in the 1972 TV film That Certain Summer.
Family Life
He is the son of aspiring singer/actress and New York World's Fair hostess Dolores Jacoby. When he was just 4 years old, his father, Buddy Jacoby, sadly passed away. His 4 younger siblings, including sisters Laura and Susan, and half-brothers Robert Jayne and Billy Jayne, also had professional acting careers beginning at a young age. He married Lyn Jacoby on June 23, 1985, and they have 2 children together.

After opening his own Los Angeles-based recording studio in 2000, he also shifted his entertainment industry career to a more behind-the-scenes faculty. In 2001, he wrote, produced, and directed the music documentary Rage: 20 Years of Punk Rock West Coast Style, which featured several icons of the punk music scene including Darby Crash, Paul Cook, Rodney Bingenheimer, and Jello Biafra, among many others.
