Before Fame
He launched his youth career playing with CD Dragón while simultaneously attending school in order to pursue a teaching career. He joined Águila's Second Division side in 1958 before being promoted to the Primera División de Fútbol de El Salvador.

In the year 1959, he helped Águila earn its first league title by scoring the only goal in the entire Final's second round. In the year 1981, he began his coaching career by leading his former team, Águila, before going on to oversee CD Santa Clara and Atlético Chaparrastique.
