He and his twin brother and fellow singer, Dejan Matić, were born in Drvar, Yugoslavia (present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina) and raised primarily in Belgrade, Serbia. Sasa Matic and his wife Andelija welcomed daughters named Aleksandra and Tara in 2004 and 2007, respectively.
