Sarah El Hairy

French politician who served as Secretary of State for Biodiversity in the government of Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne. She also served as State Secretary for Youth at the Ministry of National Education in the governments of Borne and Jean Castex. She was a member of the French National Assembly from 2017 until 2020.

Before Fame

She graduated from Lycée Lyautey high school in Casablanca in Morocco. She attended Nantes University.

Trivia

In 2014, she joined Democratic Movement. In 2023, she became the first female member of a government in France to reveal she was gay. She has earned more than 20,000 followers on her sarahelhairy Instagram account.

She has Moroccan and French heritage.
