Became the first Dutch female gymnast to win an individual medal at the Olympics when she took gold on the balance beam finals in 2016. She won silver on the balance beam at the 2015 World Championships and bronze on the uneven bars at the 2015 European Championships.

Before Fame

She started training with her father at a local gymnastics club in Dronrijp at the age of 12. She made her international debut in 2007.

Trivia

She has her own balance beam move named after her called the "Wevers Move," which is a double turn while her leg is held up horizontally.

Family Life

She has a fraternal twin named Lieke who is also on the national gymnastics team. They are both coached by their father Vincent.
