Saindhavi Prakash

About

Vocalist and film playback singer of titles including "Pirai Thedum" for the movie Mayakkam Enna and the super-hit songs "Mussanje Rangalli" and "Beladingalante Minu Minuguta" from the Kannada movie Psycho. She has also sung the theme songs for TV series such as Edhir Neechal and is one of the lead vocalists for Kosmic Music's "Sacred Chants" album series. 

Before Fame

She has been performing since she was only 12 years old. As the recipient of the Indian government's National CCRT Scholarship for Carnatic Vocals, she studied at the Lakshmy Narayana School of Music as well as the Sree Suprabhata Sabha School in Chennai. 

Trivia

She has been the recipient of numerous honors, including Best Female Playback Singer at the 2010 and 2013 Edison Awards and the 2012 and 2019 SIIMA Awards. She was also named Female Vocalist of the Year by the Mirchi Music Awards in 2011. 

Family Life

In 2013, she married composer Gv Prakash Kumar. Together, they have 1 daughter.
