Before Fame

He started playing the violin when he was three years old and made his professional debut at age seven in Japan's Pacific Music Festival.

In 2011, he graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor's degree in physics.

Family Life

He was born in New York City to Japanese-American violinist parents. His sister, Midori Goto, also became an internationally acclaimed violinist.
