About
Former three-time pro bowler and Super Bowl champion that played in the NFL for 14 seasons. During those years, he played tight end for the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers. After retiring from the NFL for good in 1989 before eventually making to an effort serve in office for Hawaii's 2nd Congressional District.
Before Fame
He initially began his collegiate career at the University of Oregon. After siting out his senior season at Oregon, he then decided to transfer to Oregon State University.
Trivia
During his younger years, he worked as a wrestler in the American Wrestling Association as well as on NWA Hawaii. In his prime, he was quite large, standing at 6'6" tall and weighing just under 250 pounds.
Family Life
He is survived by his wife, Judy, and their two children. He has a daughter named Annabel and a son named Grant.

He was good friends with New England Patriots' owner Robert Kraft.
