Known best for his role as Officer Matt Cordell in the Maniac Cop horror movies of the late 1980s and early 1990s, Z'Dar is also famous for his roles in Marching Out of Time, The Night Stalker, and several other Anton Vassil-directed films.

Before Fame

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Arizona State University, he briefly worked as a Chicago police officer before making his on-screen debut in the 1984 film Code Name Zebra.

Trivia

Two of his movies -- Future War and Soultaker -- were featured on the comedic B-movie commentary series Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Born Robert Zdarsky, he grew up in Chicago and Hillside, Illinois and later settled in Los Angeles, California.
