Robbie Avila

About

6'10" center and athlete who began his collegiate career at Indiana State University in the year 2022. He was named to the MVC All-Freshman team in the year 2023 and was a First-team All-MVC selection in the year 2024. Following his sophomore year, he entered the NCAA's transfer portal. 

Before Fame

He became the all-time leading scorer at Oak Forest High School. He averaged 23.9 points and 10.6 rebounds as a senior. 

Trivia

During his time at Indiana State, he earned the nickname "Cream Abdul-Jabbar" due to the sports goggles he wears, likening him to NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He weighs approximately 240 pounds and can frequently be seen sporting dark-rimmed glasses.

He is of Mexican descent on his father's side.

In addition to the nickname "Cream Abdul-Jabbar," he also earned the nickname "Larry Nerd," a reference to fellow Indiana State basketball star Larry Bird.
