Former defender that played soccer professionally in England for just over 18 years. During his professional career, he has both coached and played for the Welsh mens' national team during the UEFA Euro Cup as well as the FIFA World Cup. In November 2020, he officially began his tenure as manager of the Wales men's' national team. 

Before Fame

He initially began his soccer career playing for the Watford F.C. youth squad. He first joined Watford in 1985. 

Trivia

He was named Watford's Player of the Year in 2000. His team won the 2000 Premier League Championship after defeating the Bolton Wanderers 2-0. During his playing career he appeared 550 times for six different clubs. He began his career as a manager in 2014 for Port Vale. He has also managed Northampton Town and the Wales U21 team.

He grew up in Tylerstown, Wales.
